Our myHondaHabit oil pan gasket is a composite gasket which is completely different from the OEM nitrile/rubber version. Our gasket is firm to the touch and horizontally rigid, which means that it will resist blowing out because it is exponentially more difficult to bend than the nitrile/rubber counterpart. Because it is firm, it also supplies a rigid structural support to the sealing side of the oil pan flange. This means that as the nut/bolt is torqued down it will provide pressure on the backside of the flange that will help it resist warping around the bolt hole (another common problem). Additionally, this gasket is designed to absorb a minimal amount of oil and swell. This swelling action creates a better seal. We use it on our own vehicles and it works. After trying several OEM gaskets and continuously having leaks we developed this answer to the problem. Born out of frustration, this gasket has resolved the b-series oil pan gasket leak problem. We know that it costs more than the OEM or aftermarket counterparts, but it also does the job correctly.

This gasket installs exactly like the OEM one, with the torque sequence and specifications the same.
